# Gantt Milestones

Milestones indicate significant events or achievements in your project timeline, like a launch date or a delivery deadline.

### 1. Adding milestones

Assign the milestone field from your dataset to the Gantt fields visual parameter. In the Pivot data window, map the fields to the **Milestone** bucket. Milestones will be displayed in the Gantt when the fields are assigned.
