# Gantt: Web URLs

Access to planning documents or resources is now at your fingertips with support for WebURLs. You can embed links to shared workspaces or ticketing systemslike Jira directly in your Gantt. Let's see how to embed URLs in your Gantt chart with a few simple steps.

**STEP 1:** Assign the web URL column to the Gantt fields visual parameter. Map it to the Display category bucket in the pivot data window. The WebURL field will be displayed in your Gantt when you complete the data mapping, however links will not be enabled.

**STEP 2:** Click the web URL button on the toolbar and click **Add new web URLs** option from the side pane.

**STEP 3:** In the **Display column** dropdown**,** select the column that should contain the URL link. If you choose the Web URL field, the links will be displayed directly. Alternatively, you can convert sub-tasks into clickable links by selecting the 'Name' column.

Select the column containing web URLs from the **Based on** dropdown.

**STEP 4:** A concise way of displaying URLs would be to use URL icons, especially when long URLs are involved. Select 'Icon' from the Display as dropdown.

You have the flexibility to choose an icon and set a color. We've adjusted the width of the web URL field from the Canvas settings > Column tab, giving maximum canvas space to the Gantt chart.
