## &#x20;                               <mark style="color:$success;">**Funnel chart**</mark>

#### **Chart setup to build a funnel chart:**

| Configuration option | Configuration value                                        |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Axis**             | Drag the dimension to plot on the axis (e.g., Sub Region). |
| **Values parameter** | Drag the measure to analyze (e.g., Actuals).               |
| **Chart type**       | Select  **Funnel** from the Chart Type dropdown menu.      |

> Funnel charts are typically used to identify potential bottlenecks or areas of improvement in a process. In this example, we've used a Funnel to view the sales across different sub-regions.

### **1. Customization & formatting options under Canvas settings**

#### **1.1. Chart width**

You can adjust the funnel width based on your requirements. The allowed range is between 40 and 100.

#### **1.2. Chart type**

You can opt for a funnel or a pyramid.

#### **1.3. Include total sum**

Enable this option to use the measure sum total for funnel height calculation.

#### **1.4. Inverted**

Enable this option to turn the funnel or pyramid upside down.

#### **1.5. Curved**

Enable this option to view the funnel with rounded ends. You can set the width of the curve.

#### **1.6. Dynamic slope**

The slope of the funnel is determined by the magnitude of each category.

#### **1.7. Pinched**

You can disable the slope for a specific number of categories. Enter the category count in the **Pinch count** textbox.

> A pyramid chart is a triangular diagram divided into horizontal layers, each symbolizing a hierarchical level or category, with the width of each layer showing its proportion relative to the entire chart.

#### **Chart setup to build an executive funnel:**

> Executive funnel charts are used to visualize progressive stages in a high-level process, making it easy for executives to track conversion, drop-off, or flow through key business stages.

### **1. Customization & formatting options under Canvas settings**

#### **1.1. Category deviation**

The drop-off between each stage will be displayed only when this toggle is enabled.

#### **1.2. Auto font color**

The font color for the drop-off notations is automatically adjusted for best visibility when this toggle is enabled.&#x20;

Set a custom font color when the toggle is disabled.

* **Font size**

Set the font size of the drop-off notations.

* **Shape**

By default, the drop-off or conversion is displayed within an ellipsis. You can also choose a square.

* **Border radius**

When you choose 'Square' in the **Shape** dropdown, you can customize the border radius.

* **Label display**

Show the actual drop-off or conversion value between stages or the percentage of both.

* **Background transparency**

Adjust the transparency of the ellipsis or square.

#### **1.3. Funnel direction**

Use arrows to show the direction of progress of each stage. The arrows will not be displayed when this toggle is turned off.

* **Arrow size**

Set the thickness of the direction arrows.

#### **1.4. Area fill**

Render an area chart to capture the overall trend.

* **Fill color**

Set a custom color for the area chart.

* **Area transparency**

Adjust the transparency of the area chart.

#### **1.5. Executive funnel bubble**

Enable this toggle to show bubbles for each stage.

* **Value type**

Choose to display the actual value or the percentage. The data label will be automatically adjusted accordingly - for instance, if you choose 'Value', the data label will display the percentage.

* **Connecting line color**

Set the color for the lines connecting the bubbles.

#### **1.6. Highlight funnel**

Capture the contribution of each stage by enabling this toggle.&#x20;

* **Fill**

Customize the fill color of the background bar chart.

#### **Chart setup to build a stacked funnel:**

| **Chart type**                | Select **Funnel** from the Chart Type dropdown menu.       |

> Stacked funnel charts are used to visualize multiple categories within each stage of a funnel, making it easy to compare part-to-whole contributions at each funnel stage.&#x20;

In Analytics+, you can convert a regular funnel into a stacked funnel chart by assigning a small multiples parameter.
