# 9. Conditional formatting

Conditional formatting in dashboards and reports is essential in drawing attention to specific performance areas. With Analytics+, you can apply rules and use formatting options to emphasize specific data points.

{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Cards" %}

{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Tables" %}

{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

There are two ways to apply conditional formatting -

1. Analytics+ offers quick, single-click options such as quick rules and color scales which are covered in [one-click rules](/analytics+/working-with-analytics+/9.-conditional-formatting/one-click-rules.md).
2. You can create rules from scratch using nested if-conditions, ranking, etc which are covered in [configuring rules](/analytics+/working-with-analytics+/9.-conditional-formatting/configuring-rules/applying-conditional-formatting-rules.md).
