**2.1. Set a date in the header**

**STEP 1:** Create a date variable with the configuration shown below.

**STEP 2:** Insert the variable in the header by navigating to the Header\&Footer ribbon > Insert > Variables.

**STEP 3:** Users can instantly set a date in the report header by just selecting it from the variable. The header does not have to be edited each time.
