The Month Total Bar feature allows users to add a progress bar that visually represents the month’s total values in both Calendar Week and Month Mode. This feature is particularly useful for tracking progress and understanding how individual month values contribute to the overall total.

How to Configure

  1. In the Format pane, navigate to the Date Filter section.

  2. Set the Selection Style to Calendar.

  3. Under the Calendar Section, select the Calendar Mode as either Month or Week.

  4. Once the mode is selected, a toggle labeled Month Total Bar will appear. Enable this toggle to activate the Month Total Bar feature.

Behavior in Different Modes

  • Week Mode: The total bar will appear near each month on the calendar, visually indicating the total for that month.

  • Month Mode:

    • When Rotate Layout is off, the Month Total Bar will be displayed on the right side of the calendar.

    • When Rotate Layout is on, the Month Total Bar will appear below the calendar.

The Month Total Bar is calculated based on the measure values of the first measure added in the Others section.

Color Customization

By default, the color of the Month Total Bar is derived from the Heatmap colors. To customize the color, navigate to the Heatmap Section in the format pane, where you can adjust color options as per your preference.

This feature provides an intuitive way to view monthly totals directly within the calendar, helping users quickly identify trends and totals at a glance.
