How to Configure

1

Add a Date Slider filter and In the Format pane, open the Date Filter section and set the Selection Style to Slider.

2

This will enable Default max date in Slider section. Click the dropdown for Default Max Date to view the available options.

3

Choose between the Default or Today options.

Example: Suppose you are creating a Sales Dashboard.

  • If you set Default Max Date = Default, the slider will show the full date range available in your dataset (e.g., January 2020 – August 2025). Users can freely adjust the range to analyze any period within those years.

  • If you set Default Max Date = Today, and today’s date is September 2, 2025, the slider will automatically restrict the maximum date to September 2, 2025. As new daily sales data is added, the slider will keep updating so that the latest available date is always shown as the maximum.

This way, users can choose between long-term trend analysis (Default) and up-to-date reporting (Today) depending on their needs.
