# d.Date Format

The **Date Format** option in the Date Filter allows users to specify a custom date format for the visual. This setting applies to both **Slider** and **Calendar** styles, ensuring consistency across the filter interface.

Follow these steps to configure this feature:

* The **Date Format** option is available in the **General** section of the **Date Filter** under the format pane, displayed below the **Initial Start Date** setting.
* Users can select their preferred date format from a dropdown menu.
* Once a format is chosen, it is applied to date elements within the visual, including: Slider types when label inside marker is enabled & show fixed label is disabled

This feature ensures that all displayed dates follow the selected format, providing a unified and customizable user experience.
