Calendar Date Picker

The Date Picker provides an intuitive calendar view for selecting date ranges or specific periods. It offers multiple configurations to suit diverse filtering needs, including date, month, and multi-year selection.

How to enable Calendar Picker

1. Navigate to the Format Visual section in the Visualizations Pane.

2. Under the Date Mode in the General Section, select Calendar as the Selection Style.

3. This activates the Calendar section with three types of calendar views:

   • Date

   • Date/Month

   • Multi-Year

By Default, when Calendar is selected in Selection Style the Date view is shown.

Configuring the Date Picker

1. Date

   • Displays a calendar with a date range selection.

   • Navigate between dates using the arrow icons.

   • Click on a specific date to select it. The selected range will be highlighted in the calendar and displayed above the calendar.

   • Enable or disable Multiple Date Range Selection in the format pane.

   • When enabled, a plus (+) icon appears next to the date range display box.

   • Use this icon to add multiple date ranges, each highlighted as different color in the calendar and displayed above the calendar.

2. Date/Month

   • Allows selection of specific dates, months, or unordered combinations of both.

   • The calendar header displays the Month and Year, with dates and week numbers.

   • Navigate to Month View by clicking on the Month & Year heading.

   • To navigate to earlier or later years, click the arrow near year heading.

   • Selections are displayed at the bottom of the calendar month view with a Clear Option to reset the selections.

   • Additionally in Format Pane there are options to Display Week Number & Quarter. Enable to view it in the calendar.

   • Customize the highlight color for the selected period using the option Selected Period Color in format pane.

3. Multi-Year

   • This option extends the calendar to display multiple years at the top for selection.

   • Works similarly to the Date/Month option but includes additional years for multi-year filtering.

Additional configuration Settings

1. Date Single Select

   • This is available for Date/Month and Multi-Year options and limits the selection to a single date.

   • Within this section, you can select the Selected Date Navigation Type as This, Previous, or Next and Period Type as Day, Week, Month, or Quarter.

   • Based on the selections made and the date selected in the date picker the data is filtered.

2. Month Single Select

   • This is available for Date/Month and Multi-Year options and limits the selection to a single date.

   • Within this section, you can select the Selected Date Navigation Type as This, Previous, or Next and Period Type as Month, Quarter or Year.

   • Based on the selections made and the date selected in the date picker the data is filtered.
