vi.Calendar Heatmap

The Calendar Heatmap provides a visual representation of data values for specific dates using color gradients. It is ideal for analyzing patterns, trends, or anomalies over time.

How to enable Calendar Heatmap:

Add a Date data and Measure:

  • Add date data in the category field and ensure a measure is added to the Others Field in the visualizations pane along with date data in category field.

  • The first measure added in the others section will be taken as values based on which heatmap colors are applied.

Set the Calendar Style:

  • Navigate to the Date Filter Section in the Format Pane.

  • Select Calendar as the Selection Style.

  • Make sure the Calendar View is set to Month, Month Range, Year, or Week to enable heatmap support.

Enable Heatmap Option:

  • The Heatmap section will now appear enable it to view calendar heatmap.

Configure colors for heatmap:

  • There are four color settings options using which color can be customized as per user needs. Click on the dropdown to set colors for min, median and max measure values in calendar.

  • The heatmap automatically adjusts the color intensity based on the measure values for each date, offering clear insights into the data trends.

Month Context Color:

  • Enable to set the heatmap color scale fixed based on the minimum and maximum values of the currently displayed month. This is available only in Month View.

  • This ensures that colors remain consistent regardless of filtering, helping users compare values more accurately within the visible monthly context.
