The Analytics+ visual provides almost all functionalities even when the size of the visual is reduced i.e. it does not fill the entire canvas. The toolbar is disabled when the size of the visual is decreased beyond a threshold but you can still perform all the basic customizations via the context menus and by using the on-object interaction menus - without having to switch to focus mode.

1. Using the context menu

When the toolbar is unpinned, clicking on the + icon at the bottom left will open the context menu.

i) Charts

You can search for a specific chart type and easily switch between different chart types.

ii) Elements

The elements section has options to enable or disable various parts of a chart such as the report header (title), axes, legend, and data labels. When you hover over an option, a gear icon appears - click on this icon to directly navigate to the settings pane for that element.

iii) Settings

You can directly navigate to the configuration settings for series, canvas, analytics, conditional formatting, ranking, and sorting from this section.

iv) Theme

You can also change the theme from the context menu. Learn more about themes.

v) Pivot data

vi) Summary table

This option displays the underlying data to render the chart in tabular format. You can sort, re-order the data, and change the field names. Learn more about the summary table.

2. Editing the header

The header name is automatically set using the dimension and measure names. Simply double-click on the header to enable the on-object interaction menu. Alternatively, click on the hamburger menu that appears on hovering over the header and click on the Edit title option.

  • Title preset

Inforiver offers presets that can be applied in a single click. For comparative charts, you can set variance presets that represent variance-related KPI metrics.

  • Edit title

From the on-object interaction menu, you can change the font, size, style, color, alignment, background color, etc, and modify the content as well. You can also display metrics for the measures used to render the chart.

To reset changes and revert to the default title, click on the reset icon.

  • Hide title

If you do not wish to display a title, then you can click on the Hide title option. To display the title again, click on the hamburger menu and select Show title.

3. Ranking data

4. Switching chart types

When you render stacked charts, you will be able to switch between the various stacked charts available in Analytics+.

5. Setting the fill pattern

You can set the fill pattern for individual series or the entire chart.

You can navigate to the data management configuration window from this section.

The ranking option is available in the quick menu for Pie/Sunburst/Treemap/Funnel charts. We have displayed the top and bottom two categories and the top two regions for the treemap in the example.
