Measure Based Presets

The Measure-Based Preset feature in Super Filter allows users to create preset filters based on numerical measures added to the visual. When a measure is assigned to a category and presets are enabled, users can configure conditions to filter data dynamically based on measure values.

How It Works

1. Enabling Measure-Based Preset

  • Add a measure to the "Other" category of the visual.

  • Enable Presets to activate the measure-based preset functionality.

  • Click the Add Option in the Preset menu to configure a new preset.

2. Configuring Measure-Based Presets

By Range Selection

  • From the Type dropdown, select Measure.

  • Under Range, choose one of the following conditions:

    • Greater Than (>) – Selects values above a specified threshold.

    • Less Than (<) – Selects values below a specified threshold.

    • Between – Selects values within a defined range.

  • Enter the required values based on the selected range condition.

  • Once configured, clicking the preset applies the filter based on the defined measure condition.

  • Example: A measure-based preset is configured as companies with Sales > 5M. This condition selects only the companies that have sales greater than 5 million.

By Button Range Selection

  • From the Type dropdown, select Button Range.

  • Set the number of buttons to divide the measure into distinct segments.

  • The preset will automatically divide the measure values into clusters based on the number of buttons.

  • Clicking on a button selects data points that fall within the corresponding measure range.

  • This allows users to create clustered buckets for better data segmentation.
