Calendar Week Mode

Supported in: ✔️Slider Calendar ❌Year ❌Multi Year ✔️Month✔️Month Range ❌Week ❌Days

The Calendar Week Mode allows users to customize the date view in the calendar by selecting how many weeks are displayed for each month, providing flexibility in visualizing weeks within a month.

Follow these steps to configure this feature:

  1. Navigate to the Format Pane section:

    • Date Filter -> General -> Calendar Week Mode.

  2. There are four options available for selecting the week distribution:

    • Regular: Displays months with a standard number of weeks.

    • 4-5-4 Weeks: The first month (January) is shown with 4 weeks, the next month with 5 weeks, and the following month with 4 weeks. This pattern repeats throughout the calendar.

    • 4-4-5 Weeks: The first two months (January and February) are shown with 4 weeks, and the next month with 5 weeks. This pattern repeats.

    • 5-4-4 Weeks: The first month is shown with 5 weeks, the next two with 4 weeks each, and the pattern repeats.

  3. When Calendar Week Mode is set to any option other than Regular, the Week Calculation setting becomes available.

This feature allows users to tailor the calendar display to match specific business needs or regional week formats, ensuring a more accurate and relevant presentation of weeks within months.

Week Calculation

Supported in: ✔️Slider Calendar ❌Year ❌Multi Year ✔️Month✔️Month Range ❌Week ❌Days

The Week Calculation option allows users to define how the weeks are structured and displayed in the calendar. This flexibility allows users to align the calendar with their specific reporting, business cycles, or other organizational needs.

Follow these steps to configure this feature:

  1. To use the Week Calculation, select any option other than "Regular" in Date Filter -> General -> Calendar Week Mode.

  2. This will display the Week Calculation setting, allowing you to select options from a dropdown.

  3. There are four options available for selecting the week calculation:

    • Last Day Before End of Month: The week starts on the last day before the end of the month, ensuring alignment with the month's final days.

    • First Business Week of Month: The week begins with the first full business week of the month, considering only working days.

    • Last Day Nearest End of Month: The week starts on the day closest to the end of the month, providing balanced week distribution.

    • Last Day Before End of Month Except Leap Year: Similar to "Last Day Before End of Month," but adjusts for leap years, maintaining consistent week patterns.

    • Penultimate Day of Week Nearest End of Month: The week starts on the second-to-last day of the week nearest to the end of the month, offering a unique structure for end-of-month alignment.

  4. Based on the selected option, the calendar's date view dynamically adjusts to reflect the customized week structure.

The Week Calculation option becomes available when the Selection Style is set to Calendar, and the Calendar Week Mode is configured to any of the week format option.
