f.Day

The Day Calendar Mode allows users to view the calendar at the day level, displaying detailed data for individual days. This mode is ideal for scenarios where timestamps in the data need to be visualized.

How to Configure and Use Day Calendar View:

1

In the Visualizations pane, add a Date field to the Category field well. Ensure the field is set to Date (not Date Hierarchy).

2

Open the Format pane and navigate to Date Filter. Under Selection Style, choose Calendar.

3

Scroll down to the Calendar section. Set the Calendar View option to Day.

4

The calendar will now display data at the day level if the date field includes a timestamp.

5

To make a selection in the Day view, click on a specific day to filter data for that day.

6

Navigating between different months and years:

  • At the top, the Year and Month are shown with a downward-facing arrow.

  • Click the downward arrow to open the month view, select a month, and view its days.

  • Use the upward arrow to close the month view.

  • Use the single arrows to move between months and the double arrows to switch years.

7

Click the arrow near the days to display the day descriptions.

8

Add measure values to the visual to display detailed descriptions for each day.

9

A legend at the top displays measure headings and their corresponding colors, providing a clear visual reference for the data displayed in the calendar

Example:

Let’s say you want to check all meetings scheduled for September 8, 2025.

  • In the Day View calendar, first select September 8, 2025, from the date picker.

  • All events for that day will now be displayed in an hour-by-hour layout, with different colored legends at the top indicating event types.

This setup is particularly useful for daily planning, as it allows you to quickly see, add, or edit tasks while easily identifying event categories.
