❌Numeric Filter

The Play Axis feature automates filter selection, allowing users to cycle through values in a chosen category without manually clicking each time. As each item is selected, the report updates dynamically, helping users analyze trends, patterns, and changes in data over time.

This feature is particularly useful for presentations, live dashboards, and data storytelling, where users can focus on data evolution without manual intervention.

How It Works

When a Facet Filter is added, the Play Axis section becomes available in the Format Pane. Users can enable it to activate Play Axis functionality. When Play Axis is enabled, it iterates through each value in the selected category, applying the filter automatically to update the report.

  • Play – Begins automatic selection of category values.

  • Pause – Temporarily stops the selection at the current category value.

  • Stop – Ends the animation and resets the selection.

How to Configure Play Axis

Follow these steps to configure Play Axis in Super Filter:

  1. Enable Play Axis

    • Go to the Format Pane.

    • Locate the Play Axis section (visible when a Facet Filter is added).

    • Toggle Play Axis to On.

  2. Select a Category

    • Choose the category whose values will be cycled through automatically.

  3. Adjust Playback Settings

    • Loop – Enable this to continuously repeat the category selection in a loop.

    • AutoStart – When enabled, Play Axis starts automatically when the dashboard loads.

    • Time Delay – Set the time gap (in seconds) before moving to the next category item.

    • Display Label – Shows the currently selected category value as a label in the visual.

    • Cumulative Selection - It allows users to incrementally add filters instead of replacing them. This means that each new value is added to the filter instead of replacing the previous one. Example: Electronics → Electronics + Apparel → Electronics + Apparel + Home Decor (all selections remain visible).

Once configured, Play Axis will animate category-based filtering, providing an interactive way to analyze trends and patterns without manual selection.

Multi-Level Selection: It is discussed in detail in the subpage. to know more about it.
