Annual Calendar Heatmap
An annual calendar heatmap displays data trends across all 12 months using color shading. It's perfect for spotting seasonal patterns in metrics like sales or activity levels. This guide explains how to build one in Inforiver Super Filter with a full-year view and how to use it.

How to Configure
1. Assign Data to the Super Filter
Drag and drop your Date field into the Category section.
Place a numeric measure (e.g., Sales, Transactions, Temperature) into the Others section.
This mapping ensures the heatmap accurately reflects your metric’s distribution over time.
2. Enable Calendar Mode in the Date Filter Section
Go to the Format Pane → Date Filter Section.
Set Selection Style to Calendar.
Then change Calendar Mode to Month for a familiar month-by-month layout.
3. Display an Entire Year in the Heatmap
In the Date Filter Section, locate Display Month Count.
Set it to 12 to show all months in a single view.
This removes the need for users to scroll or filter month by month.
4. Adjust Layout for Better Dashboard Integration
Use the Rotate Layout toggle to switch between vertical and horizontal calendar layouts.
Horizontal works best for wide dashboards (e.g., web or desktop).
Vertical fits narrow or mobile-friendly layouts.
This flexibility ensures the visual integrates cleanly into any report format without manual resizing.
5. Enable and Customize Heatmap Colors
In the Date Filter Section, enable the Heatmap option.
Choose custom color gradients to visually highlight data variations, making it easier to spot trends and anomalies.
