Facet Filter

The Facet Filter allows to filter data visually through categorized dropdown lists or various other filter types. It organizes data into distinct categories, enabling seamless and dynamic selection of items across multiple fields. Facet Filter is enabled by default when data is added to the Category field.

Configuring Facet Filter:

To customize the Facet Filter View, navigate to the Facet Filter section in the Format Pane. The following options are available:

1. View Type:

Choose the filter icon style from the dropdown list. Available types are:

  • Checkbox

  • Radio

  • List

  • Dropdown

  • Tile

  • Toggle

2. Cascade Filter:

By Default, Cascade Filter is set to On. When enabled Selecting an item in one category dynamically filters items in other categories based on available data.

3. Show Panel Header:

When enabled, the header for each category will appear above the dropdown. The Progress Bar, Search Bar, and Bulk Copy-Paste options will only be visible when this setting is turned on.

4. Round Label in Dropdown:

This allows user to view items in dropdown with a round label to it. This is available only in dropdown View type.

5. Gap:

Adjust the gap between each category to manage spacing using this option.

6. Single Select:

This option is available for List, Dropdown, Tile, and Toggle view types. When enabled allows to select one item.

7. Layout:

Choose between Vertical or Horizontal layouts for the categories listed in the visual.

8. Height:

This allows user to set height for all categories. This option is available only when layout is set to horizontal.

9. Bulk Copy Paste:

Enable to show Mass Filter for each category, making it easier to manage large datasets efficiently.

10. Progress Bar:

Enable to show Progress Bar for each category which provides a visual representation of filtered data relative to the total available data.

Allows the Search option to be displayed for each category, making it easier to navigate and filter large datasets.

12. Responsive Tile:

This option enables the tile to automatically resize based on the visual size. It is available only in the tile view type.

13. Tile Width:

When Tile is selected as the view type, an option to adjust the Tile Width is provided, allowing customization of tile sizes in the visual.

14. Tile Height:

This allows the user to set the height of the tile. It is available only in the tile view type and takes effect only when the responsive tile option is turned off.

15. Tile Radius:

This option lets the user set the radius of the tile. It is available only in the tile view type and is applied only when the responsive tile option is off.

16. Apply All:

The Apply All option in the Facet Filter, when enabled, allows the selected values to be applied as a filter only after clicking the Apply icon.

16. Reset to Default:

A button located at the bottom left of the Facet Filter section to reset all customizations.

Configuring the Category Styles:

1. General Section:

Configuring this Applies to all levels in the category field. Configuration options available in this section are the following:

  • Text Color: Click on the Dropdown to select a color.

  • Background Color: Click on the Dropdown to select a color.

  • Font Style: Dropdown to set font style, with size adjustment and formatting options (Bold, Italics, Underline).

  • Header Label Color: Click on the Dropdown to select a color.

  • Header Background Color: Click on the Dropdown to select a color.

  • Header Font Style: Dropdown to set font style, with size adjustment and formatting options (Bold, Italics, Underline).

2. Category Section:

Sections are created based on the data entered in the category field. To select the category you wish to configure, click on the desired category from the dropdown list labeled "Category" under Category Styles. The following configuration options are available in this section:

  • View Type: Choose the filter icons from the dropdown list (Checkbox, Radio, List, Dropdown, Tile, Toggle).

  • Select All: This option allows the user to select all available items at once. This is only available for Checkbox View Type.

  • Single Select: Enable single selection of items using this option (available for List, Dropdown, Tile, and Toggle filter types).

  • Header Label Icon Type: Configure the type of header label icon from the dropdown list. Available types are Data, Design, Technology, Business, Search, Status, Users, Time.

  • Header Label Icon: Select the icon from the range of options available for the selected type in the dropdown list.

  • Height: This option lets the user set the height for the selected category. It is available only when the layout is set to Vertical.

  • Tile Background Color: Choose the background color of tile for the selected category.

  • Text Color: Choose the text color for the specific selected category.

  • Background Color: Dropdown with a pop-up to choose a color.

  • Font Style: Format the view of items in category from the set of font style, with size adjustment and formatting options (Bold, Italics, Underline).

  • Header Text Color: Dropdown to select a color for header text.

  • Header Background Color: Dropdown to select a background color for the header.

  • Header Font Style: Format the view of category header from the set of font style, with size adjustment and formatting options (Bold, Italics, Underline).

3.Reset to Default:

A button located at the bottom left of the Category Styles section to reset all customizations.
