The Max Default Date feature allows users to set the maximum date for the date slider, ensuring greater control over the displayed date range. This is particularly useful when working with dynamic datasets that update regularly.
In the Format pane, go to the Date Filter section and set the Selection Style to Slider. This will enable the Default Max Date option under the Slider section.
Click on the dropdown for Default Max Date to choose between the Default or Today options.
Default: If you select Default, the slider will display the entire available date range from the data model, allowing users to manually adjust the date range without any restrictions. By default, Default is selected as the option.
Today: If Today is selected, the slider range will be limited to the period between the minimum available date and today’s date. As new data is added, the slider will automatically update, ensuring that today’s date remains the maximum displayed on the slider.
By using the Max Default Date setting, users can customize their date selection experience to match both historical analysis and real-time data monitoring.
