You can edit category names from within the Analytics+ visual. The category becomes modifiable when you select the Edit option from the row gripper.
You can choose from the recommended date formats when you have a date dimension in your axis. Click on the row gripper and click edit to view the supported formats.
You can create calculated rows and seamlessly insert new categories at the visual level without modifying the underlying dataset. Use the # symbol to refer to a category. To refer to a particular cell within the formula, click and select the cell - the reference to the cell will be populated automatically.
You can exclude rows from calculations but still display them in your tables with the Skip row option.
In the example, notice how the row total changes after skipping the February row.
Select the Unskip row option from the row gripper to include a skipped row again.
You can remove a row from the report altogether with the Skip and hide row option. You are effectively performing a soft delete.
To display hidden rows again, select the Reset skip & hide rows option
Null rows are automatically hidden. To display the rows containing null values for all measures, select the Disable suppress nulls option.
Notice how the Depreciation accounts are displayed only when the Disable nulls option is enabled.
Select Enable suppress nulls from the row gripper to hide rows with nulls for all measures.
You can insert calculated rows at each level of a row hierarchy in a single shot with the template row option.
STEP 1: Select the row in which position the template row should be inserted and choose the Add template row option from the row gripper.
STEP 2: Enter the calculation and click Create. Notice how the Juices Enhc row is created for every region in one shot.
You can choose to insert the template row above or below the selected source row with the Position option.
To edit or view the calculation for a template row, click the row and choose the Edit template row option.
To delete a template row, select the Delete template row option.
You may need to flip the signs at the visual level, for instance, when your reports contain data for loans or depreciation. You can multiply an entire row by -1 with the Invert row option. Notice how the Mineral Water row has been inverted
Select the Revert inverted row option from the row gripper to restore the original row.
For complex, multi-line formulae, you can maximize the formula editor by clicking the icon.
