Play axis

Enjoy hands-free data analysis and visualization with the Play axis. Watch your dashboard come to life as charts, cards, and tables dynamically change in response to automatic filters.

Select the Play Axis option from the Navigators section to insert a play axis component.

1. Adding a Play Axis to your storyboard

STEP 1: Open the Pivot data config and assign the dimension that will drive the filter.

STEP 2: Design the overall appearance of the play axis by setting borders, margins, shadows, and background colors.

2. Configuring the Play axis

2.1. Axis Type: Choose between tabs, progress bars, ticks, or labels. The different types supported in Analytics+ are shown below.

2.2. Sort: Determine the order in which the play axis categories should be applied. You can select ascending, descending, or native sort.

2.3. Loop: Enable this toggle for the play axis to repeat continuously and filter categories on loop.

2.4. Autoplay: Users will not have to manually click the play button when autoplay is enabled. The play axis will start automatically when the dashboard is loaded.

2.5. Play interval: The gap in seconds after which the next category filter will be applied to the dashboard.

2.6. Play button styles: Customize the appearance of the play button. You can set the background color, icon size, border, corner radius, and shadow. The play axis is positioned to the left of the axis categories by default. You can also place it on the right-hand side as shown in this report.

2.7. Counter: Enable the counter to keep track of how many categories have been viewed and how many are in the pipeline. You can customize the font style, size, and color of the counter.
