Analytics+ provides customization options for legend elements such as marker style, alignment, font, etc. The legend tab is enabled only for charts that use a legend.

1. Show legend

Enable this toggle to display the legend.

2. Show legend as title

The colors used to plot each measure will be reflected in the title.

3. Show CF legend

Users can now quickly understand what the conditional formatting in your chart signifies. Analytics+ provides an option to display the conditional formatting rule and color in the legend, enhancing the report's clarity and making it easier to interpret.

4. Show total

Display the overall contribution of each category in the legend.

6. Alignment

You can set the horizontal (left, right, center) and vertical (top, middle, bottom) alignment for the legend.

7. Font

You can customize the font color and size.

8. Icon

You can choose to disable the legend marker. When the icon option is disabled, the legend labels reflect the legend colors.

9. Show background

Enabling the Show background toggle allows you to use the category color as the background for the legend label.

10. Show title

You can display a title for the legend. You can use the legend dimension name as the title or set a custom title.

In the example, we used a custom title - Products.

11. Enable RTL

Analytics+ provides right-to-left support. The legend categories are displayed from the right side to the left side when this option is enabled.

12. Style

When you select the Marker or Line and markers option, the legend will reflect the data point markers set in canvas settings.

13. Conditional formatting

Enable this toggle to display the legend when color scales are enabled.

13.1. Show title

Enable the toggle to display the legend title.

13.2. Show label

Enable the toggle to display the value labels for the color scale. Labels will help users quickly identify what each color represents.

13.3. Hide measure legend

When you display the conditional formatting legend, you can choose to hide the measure legend.

Legend settings for analytical lines

Enabling the legend for trend lines or additional series, like Pareto lines, enhances storytelling capabilities in your charts. To display the lines in the legend, enable the Show in legend toggle.

Analytics+ allows you to select data based on the legend in reading view. You can choose to highlight a particular legend category or include or exclude the category. .

The legend can display markers in the chart, making it easier to co-relate the data. You can select the marker style from the dropdown menu.
