Dumbbell column
Chart setup
Axis
- Drag the dimension to plot on the axis (e.g., Month).
Values parameter
- Drag the measure to analyze (e.g., Actuals, Plan (Created a new measure = Plan/2 for demo purposes)).
Chart type
- Select Dumbell column from the Special Charts section of the Chart Type dropdown menu.
A dumbbell chart (also known as a dumbbell plot) is useful for comparing two values for each category, typically highlighting the difference between them.

Dot Plot Column

Chart type
- Select Dot Plot column from the Special Charts section of the Chart Type dropdown menu.
A dot plot column (often referred to simply as a dot plot) contains individual data points represented by dots along a single axis. Multiple dots can stack up in the same position, making it easy to see the frequency or concentration of certain values.

Arrow Plot

- Drag the dimension to plot on the axis (e.g., Country).
Values parameter
- Drag the measure to analyze (e.g., Sales, Previous year sales).
Chart type
- Select Arrow Plot column from the Special Charts section of the Chart Type dropdown menu.
Arrow plots are perfect for illustrating changes or movement between two points. They are simple to interpret and can be used to display revenue growth or price shifts.

1.1. Line style
Set the thickness of the line and choose between solid, dashed, and dotted styles.

1.2. Marker style
You can opt for circular markers instead of the default arrow. You can also customize the size of the markers.

2.1. Show legend
The legend for arrow charts can capture increases/decreases in trends, providing clearer visual cues for data movement.

Range bar

- Drag the dimension to plot on the axis (e.g., Country).
Values parameter
- Drag the measure to analyze (e.g., Sales, Previous year sales).
Chart type
- Select Range bar from the Special Charts section of the Chart Type dropdown menu.
Range bars are ideal to depict the variance between two points. They are easy to interpret and can be used to show revenue growth or price changes.

1.1. Variance pattern
Select solid, outline, or hatched fill patterns to render variances.

1.2. Rounded edge
Enable to toggle to soften the edges of the bars.

1.3. Variance
Assign specific colors to depict a positive ot negative change in values.

Invert color
Enable this toggle to interchange what variance colors stand for - red will represent positive, and green will represent negative.
