Analytics+ September 2025 Update – Release 4.9

In this update, we’ve focused on enhancing the network graph experience with dynamic styling, enhanced interactivity, and advanced layout controls. We've also included new features for stacked radar/polar charts and variance support in combo charts.

Here’s a breakdown of the key updates in this release:

1. Network Graph

The Network Graph visual now has several powerful new functionalities:

1.1. Dynamic Arrow Thickness

The network graph now supports the feature to adjust the dynamic arrow thickness based on the values. It makes it easy to visualize the weight of the links between two nodes.

1.2. Self-linking Nodes

Nodes can now support self-referential links, which are useful for showcasing the cyclical processes or data flows that return to their point of origin.

1.3. Data Label and Tooltip Enhancements

We have now improved both data labels and tooltips to provide clearer insights into data flow, specifically highlighting inflow and outflow metrics.

  • Tooltip: The tooltips now display the inflow and outflow of information, in source and target mode.

  • Data labels: We can now customize the data labels to show Inflow, Outflow, or Total values.

1.4. Node Spacing

You can now adjust the spacing between nodes to prevent overlapping and ensure a cleaner layout, particularly in dense network graphs. This enhancement is available when the layout is set to “Force.”

1.5. Conditional Formatting for Shapes

Apply conditional formatting to node shapes based on data-driven rules to quickly highlight key data points.

1.6. Lock/Unlock and Reset

We can now use the “Lock/Unlock” feature to drag and reposition nodes, then freeze the view. To reset to the default layout, use the “Reset” option.

1.7. Node Styling - Image and text

Customize your nodes with images and descriptive text for richer visual storytelling.

2. Stacked Column in Radar/Polar Chart

A new series type, 'Stacked Column' in the Radar/Polar Chart type, has been introduced to visualize multiple data series stacked. This is ideal for comparing categories along a radial axis.

3. Combo Chart with variance support

The Combo Charts now support variances, allowing you to visualize the difference between two distinct measures within a single chart.

4. Tables – Sub-total row support

Tables now support the ability to show or hide subtotals as needed. This feature gives you more control over the table and its formatting.
